Is 15 minutes of exercise enough?

The biggest question I get regarding our daily 15 minute workouts is whether or not 15 minutes of exercise is truly "enough." Before I give you an answer, I want to ask you a follow up question. Is 15 minutes of exercise enough for what?

Why are you looking to exercise regularly? Is it to lose weight, to feel better, decrease your blood pressure, increase mobility, improve endurance, gain strength, build muscle, etc.?

If your goal is to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time, 15 minutes of exercise might not be enough for you to reach your goal. If your goal is to gain 20 pounds of muscle, 15 minute workouts might not be ideal. But if your goal is to feel good, improve your mental health, increase your lifespan, improve your heart health increase mobility and every day strength and feel better in your clothes, then 15 minute workouts might just be perfect for you.

What is so special about 15 minute workouts? It's the fact that they fit easily into a busy lifestyle. The members of the BFF community have found that it is harder to talk themselves out of a workout, than it is to find a valid excuse. Our workouts fit perfectly into a morning routine, lunch break, a 15-minute break from work, while dinner is in the oven, while the kids are napping, on a weekend morning before the family is awake. You don't need any fancy equipment or much space to participate in our 15 minute workouts.

Most of our workouts are done with dumbbells and you don't need much weight to feel the burn. Before you know it, the workouts is over and you leave feeling so energized and accomplished.

Sustainable results come from consistency, and the best way to stay consistent is to find a workout that you enjoy and that fits into your lifestyle.

If you have been struggling to find an extra hour in your day to workout, why not start with 15 minutes?
